David Schwab joined Octagon in 1999 as the Director of Communications and now manages the company’s celebrity acquisition and activation division, First Call. In this role, he connects celebrities with Fortune 500 companies and non-profit associations to fulfill their business marketing and mission objectives. For example, First Call created and activated all Susan G. Komen for the Cure celebrity spokesperson work, including a partnership with Sex and the City co-star Cynthia Nixon. News media outlets such as Advertising Age, New York Times, USA Today and ESPN regularly call on him for his sports and talent marketing expertise.
His roots in the business trace back to his five years at the public relations firm Brotman Winter Fried Communications. During his time there, Schwab worked on brand development, media relations, campaign implementation and contract negotiation.
