Tom George, Senior Vice President of Octagon, spearheads the company’s Athlete & Property Marketing division. For over 25 years, George has negotiated thousands of deals for some of the world’s most well-known and highly compensated athletes, and is recognized as one of the industry’s leading athlete marketers in the United States.

In 1983 he helped found Advantage International, which later became Octagon.  Beginning in 2003, George spent two years in the collegiate ranks as Director of Athletics at American University in Washington, D.C. before returning to Octagon in 2005.

A 1976 graduate of Wake Forest University, George received a B.S. in Business.  For ten years, he served on the Marketing Education Advisory Board for Fairfax (VA) County Public Schools working with the school system to support marketing education.  Currently, George serves as a Professor of Strategic Sports Marketing in Georgetown University’s Sports Industry Management Masters program.
